Seija has spent over 25 years building creative teams and efficacious products for K-12 teachers and students. As Executive Vice President of Strategy, she drove portfolio expansion through organic growth and acquisition at Imagine Learning. The company’s revenue doubled during her tenure and the organization expanded from a niche ESL segment to larger market segments including literacy, mathematics, and assessment.
As Publisher for ESL and Literacy at National Geographic Learning, Seija managed a print and digital product portfolio of products that accounted for 75-80% of the division’s revenue. Seija also lead major product initiatives at Riverdeep, Classroom Connect, and Addison-Wesley Longman. She began her career as a teacher and still makes time to volunteer in local classrooms to keep in touch with customer needs and the ever-shifting context for teaching and learning.
