Ellevation’s 5th Annual IMPACT Conference is now open for registration!
Join Ellevation for a 3-day virtual professional learning conference December 9th, 10th, and 12th as we pave the way to strengthen spaces where EL students can thrive. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from top experts in the field of multilingual education to gain the strategies, tools, and inspiration to support every English learner’s success. Tackle key topics like supporting newcomers and LTELs, participate in live Q&A opportunities with our presenters, gain access to exclusive on-demand resources from the sessions, and receive a certificate of attendance at the end of the conference to submit for professional development credit. Day 1: Mapping the journey
Speakers: Dr. José Medina, David Holbrook, Dr. Dorina Sackman-Ebuwa, Valentina Gonzalez, Ernesto Mejia
Sessions on Day One will guide educators through practical strategies to support multilingual learners, enhance emotional intelligence, leverage Title I programs, and transform family engagement into meaningful connections.
Day 2: Bridging communities
Speakers: Dr. Rebecca Palacios, Anamika Dugger, Bret Gosselin, Dr. Marie Heath, Dr. Yvonne Williams, Amy King
On Day Two, sessions focus on building connections across diverse communities. Topics include early childhood education, supporting LTELs, leveraging bilingualism, and engaging families of Newcomer students to foster academic success and cultural integration.
Day 3: Navigating emotions and experiences
Speakers: Pamela Broussard, Jordan Nicinski, Jessi Miller-Cunningham, Dr. Carol Salva, Elise White Díaz
Today’s sessions focus on supporting the social and emotional needs of multilingual learners. Highlights include strategies for building social and cultural capital, leveraging data-driven instruction, supporting trauma-affected students, and guiding SLIFE and newcomers to graduation success.
