Ellevation Merges with Curriculum Associates to Accelerate Impact for Multilingual Learners

Together, the organizations aim to serve more educators, students, and families nationwide

Boston, Massachusetts - Ellevation announced its partnership with Curriculum Associates, an ed-tech company whose suite of instruction and assessment products, including i-Ready, reach over 10m students in the K-12 space. Together, both companies will be able to expand their impact, improving the teaching and learning experience for teachers and multilingual students across the country.

“All of us at Ellevation love what we get to do and the mission we’re committed to. I can’t think of a better partner for us going forward than Curriculum Associates to help us deepen and accelerate our work,” said Jordan Meranus, co-founder and CEO of Ellevation. “As we prepare for the next stage of growth, Curriculum Associates’ operational capacity and industry expertise will be invaluable in helping us serve the needs of even more students,” added Teddy Rice, co-founder and President of Ellevation.

Curriculum Associates has supported classroom teaching and learning for the past 50-plus years. The company offers a comprehensive suite of educational programs which support access to rigorous grade-level instruction for all learners. This includes the company’s flagship i-Ready product, which makes the promise of differentiated instruction a practical reality for K–12 teachers and students and which is proven to accelerate learning gains for English Learners.

“Ellevation has played a leading role in empowering and equipping educators and English Learners for success through its innovative and impactful solutions,” said Rob Waldron, CEO of Curriculum Associates. “Our aligned values and shared mission make this partnership a natural fit, and we look forward to working collaboratively to further enhance outcomes for multilingual students in more schools nationwide.”

Ellevation, which will operate as an independent product and brand under the Curriculum Associates umbrella, provides solutions that work to ensure linguistic and cultural diversity is valued as an asset rather than a barrier in classrooms. These include the Ellevation Platform, which serves district administrators by organizing all EL student data, supporting critical meeting and monitoring processes, enabling accurate reporting and supporting instructional planning for multilingual students; Ellevation Strategies, which serves classroom teachers of every grade level and subject by providing instructional practice and activities that help English Learners master grade-level content; and Ellevation Math, which serves all students by helping them comprehend the key academic vocabulary needed to arrive to class ready to engage. The company currently serves more than 1,000 partner districts and supports more than 1.5 million English Learners nationwide.
