Data and instruction, better together: New releases across Ellevation

When it comes to supporting EL student success, clear insight into student progress and strategies to adjust instruction go hand-in-hand. Ellevation’s tools have long brought together the power of centralizing EL program data, creating systems to monitor progress, and designing effective professional learning to enhance instruction for English Learners.

This Fall, we’ve built on these capabilities to unify data and instruction further, with new features that bring together data and instructional insights in a powerful new way.

Powerful dashboards combining data and instructional practice

Ellevation now combines best-in-class data analysis capabilities with guided learning practices through an enhanced Ellevation Strategies experience, helping teachers get to know their students and select the right instructional strategies to support them – all in one place.

Educators who use Ellevation for professional learning and classroom instruction now enjoy the capability to view data and instructional content side-by-side on Ellevation dashboards. This new capability – available now for Ellevation Strategies partners – means a more seamless experience that drives better outcomes for EL students.

Here’s how:

  • Easier access to Strategies through dashboards: When educators log in to Ellevation, they can now be greeted by student data tiles alongside Strategies module and activity lists – all on one unified dashboard.
  • Streamlined activity pages to support teacher learning: A guided structure for activities, including clear learning objective statements, helps teachers to effectively learn and apply activities – accessible directly from dashboards.

We also know the benefit of ready-made guidance and resources that help get learning plans started quickly. Ellevation partners now gain a default Strategies Dashboard – rich with pre-built, best-practice content and data tiles – that they can customize and build off to support their district’s instructional and professional learning objectives.

For educators who want to make a more personalized dashboard their homepage experience, additional capabilities now provide the flexibility to adjust the experience their team sees when they log in to any dashboard in Ellevation. It’s never been easier to make data-informed instructional decisions!

Simpler workflows, stronger compliance, and flexible support

Educators and administrators need every minute back in their day to meet their instructional objectives. Recent updates across Ellevation Platform also make compliance workflows more intuitive and efficient, helping teams streamline daily tasks even further without sacrificing accuracy.

Year-over-year, educators have to adjust key decisions like classroom accommodations for every student – we’ve now made that process a lower lift by introducing the ability to copy student supports from one academic year to the next, meaning less time on compliance and more time on instruction.

In addition to instructional content that’s now available on dashboards, educators now enjoy the ability to clone and share them across the district – meaning faster time-to-insight, district-wide.

Forms has also undergone key improvements to make compliance easier this school year. Accurate, complete, and accessible information is crucial for ensuring compliance and providing effective student support. We’ve made enhancements to how form cycles are configured, meaning fewer errors, more accurate compliance reporting, and greater student progress tracking – meaning EL program monitoring is aligned from the start.

Smarter data organization and new ways to automatically tag subjects now also give educators a more precise way to organize learning data and match forms. By streamlining how information is categorized and connected, districts can reduce errors and ensure the right supports are consistently tied to the right students.

Connecting student data, instruction, and families

These new improvements have educators’ needs at the heart of every solution – including our recently released Family Communication add-on, now available in early access. Partners can now build on their EL program management and instructional practice by gaining a more efficient way to inform families about EL program placement decisions.

This fall, make connecting student data, instruction, and families the goal of your EL program.

Coming soon: Benchmark insights to power your ELD program

Teachers and districts today lack regular, actionable insight into English Learner progress, making it difficult to track growth and ensure students meet proficiency goals.

Coming soon with Ellevation Benchmark, you’ll be able to measure students’ progress towards English proficiency with confidence.

In early 2026, benchmark insights, powered by Ellevation, will help teachers target instruction up to three times per year across reading, writing, listening, and speaking, while short, 20-minute assessments keep the focus on learning and minimize testing fatigue.

Assessing English language proficiency is often time-intensive, inconsistent, and disconnected from instructional needs. District leaders will soon enjoy a powerful new way to connect data, instruction, families and benchmark insights further – a complete ELD solution, all within Ellevation.
